Love your work. I just started playing with oils myself and its like a whole new world. I like how you work them "like oils" in some areas and then create that gorgeous translucent layering in others. its inspiring and deeply impressive. THank you for sharing.
Did this make it into the spring show? When I passed this on the wall at Federal I was speechless. I voted for a couple of your pieces for student choice. There are no words to describe how beautiful this series is. (sorry a lil over the top but they're so inspiring. I'm taking figure painting this summer, I don't want to wait a month. ) Are you a fine art major? I'm illustration right now but I'm thinking about changing.
hello no unfortunately this particular piece did not make it, however i got three silkscreen prints in the show. and my whole show is still hanging up at the 79 new montgomery gallery. you can see most of my work there and yes, i am a fine art major, graduating in the fall. i know a lot of illustration majors that switched to fine art, or wished they had. so if you want to, do it before its too late
I love your use of warm colours......I often find myself working using warms as well Im clueless to painting techniques.....can you shed some light on how you seal these pieces? fantastic as always......great composition and energy.......I love the way it flows take care.....drive safely
I really haven't had the opportunity to express just how much I love the direction you've taken in the past few years. You've always had an uncanny knack for mixed media, and this is simply gorgeous. So expressive and alive. The combination you've gotten with oil, charcoal, and wood lately has left my jaw on the floor! I'm quite curious what you'd do using other canvases and other media. Definitely.
