Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition assignment for my Surrealism class. We had to pick two images from popular culture that alone are meaningless, but when juxtaposed have a meaning that you have to think about to perceive.

I took neither of these photos, to clarify. The girl on the left is from a world famous photo by Steven McCurry. The photo of Paris is from an advertisement for that show she was on.

I did however paint both, oil on canvas, each one is 18x36. They are mounted together.
